Resilience and Diversity

For a lot of businesses, losing connectivity means losing trade. We offer resilience options that match the connection to what's at stake. These range from a second connection on its own fibre path into the same building, to fully diverse routes landing on separate parts of the carrier network so that no single cable cut, exchange or node can take a site offline.

Diverse routes are planned to stay apart in the access network and are monitored for the life of the service, so the separation isn't quietly lost to street works or re-routing years later. For campuses and multi-building sites, the two routes can land in different buildings. Where fibre diversity isn't practical, radio can provide an alternative path.

We design and manage resilience at the network level. At the customer's edge, we work with you on the router and failover configuration, so the backup path takes over automatically when it's needed rather than sitting idle. The result is a resilient service from the carrier network right through to the customer's LAN, planned as one design rather than two products bolted together.
